Mr Magar has gone away
never again to come out and play
the games we loved we had great fun
scratching my back and ticklin his tum
the cuddles were great, the love was fine
now just a memory, a good one of mine
o dear magar what am i to do
no one in the world is as fine as you
my days are long my nights are cold
no love anymore, its the price of being old
i stay in my bed too lonely to sleep
too proud to tell too sad to weep
oh mr magar can i turn back time,
to the days of love and summers so fine
to cooking your food and making your tea,
a tap on the ceiling was an endearment to me
the days were long the work was intense
the pleasure we got was a shared expense
now my days are empty my pleasures are few,
theres not no one in my life as fine as you
i cuddle myself i shed a small tear
oh how lovely it would be to have you here,
my time is short my memories are long
i think back oer the years and one thing is strong
your bellowing laughter your magic tricks
were wonder to me and had me in fits
of inner laughter and happiness unbound
my heart swelled great for the love i had found.
oh dear magar before i go,
i have to tell you, i think you should know
your one in a million your loved through and through
no one in my world ever compared to you.
sleep well my man sleep long and sweet
till the day comes around when we both shall meet
until such time know your loved by me
and let the love make you strong and healthy and free.
