When two must become one

When two must become one…
He was:
The dark of night
A mind filled with blight
A soul lost within emptiness
His heart filled with duress
She was:
Sunny skies always in sight
Thoughts of pure utopian delight
A soul that lightly floats with grace
Angels crowd around her just to see her face
Like opposite poles of magnets, they must attract
Like acid and baking soda, they must come together to react
Their souls must become intertwined
As their world around them flails, convulses and unwinds
You see…
Dark and light must be together to be clearly seen
As they play off each other to create that glean
As one becomes two then three
The progression must continue, this is as it must be
The norm continues to its perpetuations
Hearts will falter, fall and react with palpitations
As good seeks evil and evil consumes good
This must be seen for this love to be understood
