Why do I worry about you,and mull away the spaces where you are no longer?
Why do I fill my thoughts with your absence as though you mean so much,
I don't hear even your whisper enquire of my well being and yet all these years
I cannot leave. Even though my constant mulling brings no understanding to a
Endless furrowing of melancholy, I still won't leave! for I am afraid that you are the glue,
The final fortress before I let go into the abyss of nothing remaining, of everything
Changing but then maybe it's not you that has crafted this chasm, but instead my ever
Changing nature, drawn to life's endless possibilities but always just a little afraid of
Letting go of the all too familiar past.I wonder if you ever truly knew me or we were just
Limpets that clung to the same past and have never let go!
Would that I ever had the honesty when your disrespectful words show such little knowledge
Of who I am, then maybe my heart would rest, but this glue is destiny, ensuring for now, that
In this place of loyalty I remain, but then how long before a stronger tide?
