Charging at the enemy with a full head of steam
A knight, so brilliant, wearing the most magnificent armor
Without nerves, he stays ever calmer

Unsheathed comes his mighty blade
The enemy in his sights, he has no words to say
On and on he continues his charge
At the enemy no matter how large

His horse struck by an arrow rears up and jerks
The brave knight jumps to the ground continuing on foot
His shield at his front, his sword by his side
Sadly, it would appear he was on the losing side

Still he charges on, without a trace of fear
But, on his face, forms a tear
Not because of the pain he faces or his fate that awaits
But because of his his family that lie behind the city gates

A young and beautiful wife, and three children not even the age of ten
Not ever a day in their life have they ever sinned
Today however, could sadly be their last
All of this confusion and disarray happening so fast

Over the great hill from where they came
Uncountable men, with looks all the same
No time to plan or prepare
No time for even a soul to care

How had they not seen this coming
Not even a whisper, not even a warning
Many fled with their lives, leaving few to stay and fight
Victory, slowly escaping their sights

The few left fighting trying to spare time
For all the women and children left behind
For all those who committed not a single crime
Though few still lied behind the city's walls

Under the hot summer sun
This battle had already been won
Won by these invading bastards
Who had come without so much as a sign or word

The brave and heroic knight reached the first man
Not long did the invading bastard stand
Parrying, dodging, and stabbing the knight fought on
Sadly, he could not keep this pace for long

The blade like a hot knife through butter
Went through the knights neck, who would live no longer
His head detached from his body, flew through the air
All his men who were to fight by his side could only stare

But only for a second could the men stare
For the enemy stood, surrounding them
The sound loud, nearly deafening
Without safety for themselves, they charged into battle ready

Ready to die just as their leader had
One line of men clashing and fighting with the other
While beyond the city's walls people run for their lives and cover
Trying to save themselves and all others

Their effort would appear to be futile
With all the happening, many are in denial
Why did this happen, and how
This fate that bestows them now

The walls now, have been breached
The city has now suffered defeat
Yet on the brave and great warriors fight
With tremendous will and might

In the end it is all to much
And like a striking snake comes deaths touch
The last of the mighty warriors fall
An army that once stood powerful and tall

The attackers breach the city gate
Set in stone is the citizens fate
Women are raped, building are burned
To no one can the people turn

Men and children are made slaves
Never, will they be saved
A city that once stood so tall
Will now crumble and fall
