Green resonates in people's brains
And deprives them of sleep
But the doe-re-me
Ain't nothin' to a man
From the country

Life today seems to be so fast
Dueling and harping on the past
Do we realize a thousand pasts
Means no future

And so that's why

Expensive jeans
And mounds of green
I am with without
A high-rise in the city
Ain't to me so pretty
Cars, and jewels
As great as they may seem
These things I am without

She begged me for shiny new heels
Size six and a half
Say hey honey
Let's do the math
A barefoot you revs my engine
Than any hot catch
From here to high heaven

I wish once again
For the first time we could meet
And then two people
Could have a single heart beat

Expensive jeans
And mounds of green
I am without
A high rise in the city
To me, ain't so pretty
Cars, and jewels
As great as they may seem
These things I am without

It's so funny
Feel the irony
Want less and be rich
And you'll feel like a million bucks [comments] => 4 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Beyfoxman5 [notes] => Edited as requested ~ Moderator_18 Nov 7, 2014 [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Without
