Thank you my friend

I wish to thank you friend
But not "you" in the sense
Of any individual
No, for that is not what you are
You yourself are massive
But your inner-self is small
Like a complex organism
With a vast expanse of cells
To you, I owe a number
Of near-endless thanks
For the ways you've touched me
And for all my highs and lows
For the scrunching of my smile
And the wiggling of my toes
For the shaping of who I am
And who to become
For all the places in which we've been
And in all of those to come
Your kind words and inspirations
To exceed my limitations
The resolutions of your efforts
Won't soon come to end
For I cannot forget you,
For you are everyone, my friend
