[hometext] => A tribute to Li-Young Lee
[bodytext] => I see the ripples as they
creep over the surface of
this memory,
this mirror here
before the trees grew tall.
I reflect:
a summer symptom,
waterfall of reason
beating out a steady rhythm,
rhythm
above the ancient
stones below.
That simple smell:
it has no name, and yet
I know it well,
like churned earth
or murkiness bestowed
upon dipped toes
and cool streams;
I reflect.
