I wish I didn't need you to look after me
I'm so used to being alone, just let me be
Let me make my own choices, my own mistakes
Heal on my own, and move through the aches

I'm a big girl now, all I really need
is for you to give me a nudge; set me free
Watch me fly, and watch me fall
Because no matter what, I'll have you to call

Even when you are not around
you'll be in my heart keeping me safe and sound
Through the tears and the smiles, the laughs and the fights
you'll be in my heart and through the darkest of nights
