Those thoughts take over again
I cannot sleep
I cannot weep
I cannot control
I cannot make whole
this hole in my heart

I take that drug
It never seems to be enough
To kill the pain
To relieve the strain
To fix my life
To fix me inside

It is 3 am
I am here on my own again
You were never there
You are never her
To see what I have become
To see what you have done

And I hate myself
For feeling the way that I do
I cannot forget
I am filled with regret
I can never make whole
the hole in my soul
