The angel of death.
Why do we fear you with every breath?
More commonly known as the grim reaper.
The ultimate equaliser.
We go through life terrified.
Daily in our fear we confide.
Oh how naive.
We are to perceive.
That death is our enemy.
Not realising it’s heavenly.
Going through life with contempt.
Putting in every effort to circumvent.
Our destiny just to live.
Not hold grudges and forgive.
Or walk the righteous path.
Keeping our souls clear as glass.
For should we dare to live simple.
How everything becomes clear as crystal:
We have no reason to fear death!
And when the grim comes for our last breath.
We will gladly go into the light.
To claim our birth right.
Of eternal life.
For next I see the grim I won’t get a fright.
