Like the sun poking through the clouds
It was like the music stopped playing
like no one else was around
My eyes they followed her as she walked
Her sight was like a car crash
It was hard not to watch
My stereo was playing lucky boys confusion
I was confused with how lucky I could be
as she starting moving
Over to the coach, where I sat with my guitar
she said play me a song
Fast forward to my car

Riding past the neon signs
trying to find a place to hide
with my dreamgirl by myside
screaming the lyrics to bright eyes
it was the best time of my life
something simple, something sweet

And there we were
like a perfect movie scene
the kind where the guy gets the girl in the big city
All I cared about was her
and how to keep her by myside
I wrote her songs, she sang along
Her voice could make a grown man cry
Sometimes when I/'/m alone and I/'/m running out of steam
I take a second and remember
all those perfect memories

Like holding hands at warped tour
Paddidle and movies at your house
Endless laughs, and photographs
of you posing on your couch
Beach fires, and camping trips
Clove cigarettes, the way you bit your lip

I lost my favorite hat
the one you used to always wear
It/'/s strange how that hat
always made me smile [comments] => 2 [counter] => 103 [topic] => 22 [informant] => pat346 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Something simple, something sweet
