Who doesnt love a mystery that no one can explain?

A novel, play or movie; with hidden doors and nooks.
A murder foul; a hound that howls; a secret coded book!!

A mansions winding staircase; the lights go out for sure!
Scared stiff tonight by candlelight; a body on the floor!

A basement and a fusebox; the poison in the drink;
A missing wife, the bloody knife; some disappearing ink!

One inept inspector; an uncle, cook, and maid;
A gumshoe and a damsel; a priceless vase of jade.

The butler and the gardener; a bankrupt billionaire;
His drunken gambling son-in-law, soon to be his heir!

The footprints at the window; the garden grave they dug
The storm at night; the lightening strike; the bloodstained bedroom rug.

A stately clock; a vault of stocks; a barrister retained;
He brings the will, of someone killed; the relatives distained.

The seance in the parlor; the gunshot that we dread;
The quick retrace of every face; before the will is read.

Come share with me a mystery; lets fill our heads with clues!
And well be found, with nose to ground; insatiably amused!
