I hold space for your pain and it`s not about mine
when you unshelved that darkness you`d not shared before
I knew for sure my wounds didn`t matter anymore
I closed that rose garden gate and didn`t look back
I`ll make room for anything you`d like to unpack
together we`ll plant something new and nurture it well
I`ll marvel as it cracks and blooms out of its shell
the ache in my flesh becomes a distant memory
this transformation has set us both so free
we`ve found our feet as something much more beautiful
spreading wings to fly is something so unusual
I want you to know that spring will come around again

I want you to know that between the thorns in my sides
I hold space for your pain and it`s not about mine
when you unshelved that darkness you`d not shared before
