[hometext] =>
[bodytext] => standing still in the intersection
frozen by your icy rejection
cars whipping by, the world in motion
choking on exhausted emotions
tied my own hands with scarlet ribbons
after you freed my inhibitions
`cause you led me into untamed flames
now I`m bandaging my burns with blame
when will it be safe to go outside
and not fall into this great divide?
I`m tiring of this windowpane view
and this slowly crescendo`d pain, too
going nowhere at the speed of light
life flashing by like meteorites
feel I`m caught in the eye of the storm
but the calm, I have found, is lukewarm
standing still in the intersection
close my eyes and pray for connection
what I would give if you`d touch my face
to feel our fingertips interlace
but I know that the darkness slows down
and that if I don`t breathe I won`t drown
so I`ll wait for this city to sleep
and take my first steps out of the deep
