Walking though the void of black night as colors start bursting around me.
brilliant greens and blazing reds consume the sky in beautiful display
filling the void with light.
Popping one by one,
Blues, purples, oranges and pinks;
blinding flashes to fill the heart with awe and wonder.

I watch as each color explodes like paint splattering on canvas,
wishing i could be taken by wonder;
but i feel nothing.
My heart feels as if i were still walking through black night,
and the brightest bursts of color have no effect
Because all i see is grey.
