Falling short, always short;
Writing line after line,
notebook filled with drafts;
some, will never be finished.
This line is wrong, this stanza is too short,
this whole poem is garbage.
Put it on the back burner
as other inspiration hits me, returning to find
the words are now gone.
Fill it with fluff and see what i get;
no!
Wrong, Wrong, Wrong!
These lines are all wrong!
Ball it up,
toss it in the overflowing basket
filled with the rest of my poetic farts,
and back to the blank page to start again.
Maybe one day, I/'/ll achieve mediocrity.
