A dream I won/'/t forgive
Shadows of doubt
While many others did without
Echoed sentiments left to explore
Those that made them
Live no more
Merely words
Some you may have heard
Still remain only to disturb
Research the whispers of the golden days
Clouded in mystery
Truth and lies have departed their ways
Destiny designed by you and I
Will it stand the test of time
Our voices have been mimed
Presented without rhythm or rhyme
Revel in your uneducated ways
Live your life in a complicated maze
The rays of the sun
Prove the Lord/'/s work
Shall be done
Yesterday was our future
Will misery and disdain
Haunt the very few days
That still remain [comments] => 4 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 73 [informant] => jamesstockdale [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => abstract ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Merely Words

A life once lived
A dream I won/'/t forgive
Shadows of doubt
While many others did without
Echoed sentiments left to explore
Those that made them
Live no more
Merely words
Some you may have heard
Still remain only to disturb
Research the whispers of the golden days
Clouded in mystery
Truth and lies have departed their ways
Destiny designed by you and I
Will it stand the test of time
Our voices have been mimed
Presented without rhythm or rhyme
Revel in your uneducated ways
Live your life in a complicated maze
The rays of the sun
Prove the Lord/'/s work
Shall be done
Yesterday was our future
Will misery and disdain
Haunt the very few days
That still remain
