But now the time has come;
She looks to you as brave and strong;
To show her how its done.

What goes up again comes down;
Trust not the winding turns;
From blackness of uncertainty;
To blinding light she learns!

Pulled and thrown and thrashed about;
With death so near it seems;
Upside down and inside out;
Ignore the deafening screams.

Be brave and smile; stay in denial;
In a sea of strangers;
Protect the child from horrors wild;
She knows not of the danger.

Though indescreet, in haste retreat;
Among those who survived.
A horror you would not repeat;
Yet grateful you’re alive.

Hard to believe, one so naive;
Could bring me to my knees:
“Can we ride it one more time?”
“Can we grandma, please?”
