I turn and rear,
focus my eyes,
detecting stalkers

suppressing fear

open my throat,
let my voice rise.
My battle cries!!
My piercing growl;
shaking bones

reeking fear
behind their cowl;
the shadows fleeing

I perked my ear
so I may hear
the whispers that
still linger here;
the shadows lurking,
drawing near;
choking
as my ghosts appear.
I turn and rear,
focus my eyes,
detecting stalkers
in disguise.
suppressing fear
for demon spies;
open my throat,
let my voice rise.
My battle cries!!
My piercing growl;
shaking bones
of creatures fowl,
reeking fear
behind their cowl;
the shadows fleeing
from my howl.
