but you don`t see the way my will melts
there is something lingering in my peripheral
a black hole, strangely ethereal
following me everywhere I go
it`s been there since so long ago
forced smiles and dug out silver linings
aren`t enough to keep me compromising

I get the strangest feeling I should be somewhere else
`cause no one knows all the pain I`ve felt
but it`s such a cliche to say I am adrift
and that this life just feels makeshift
put one foot in front of the other
every day one after another
but nowhere I go feels like home
and I`m only seeing in monochrome

clocks ticking away
I see the seasons change
but nothing changes
and nothing I see
means anything to me
what is this disease?

why am I more comfortable living in discomfort?
staying with all the ghosts I`ve suffered?
will I ever have a place to stay that feels lived in?
instead of nothingness to drift in
sometimes I think about getting gone
as if I`m not already gone
I keep staring into this abyss
wondering just what there is to miss

I`m catching my breath
but it catches on death
this heart in my chest
is losing its beat
a life so incomplete
