so high above the city
just a room with a view of lovers` alchemy
breaking through reality
sunsets and oceanic skylines take my breath
then you take me in your arms
and all the poetic verse I pen is bereft
can`t do justice to your charms
`cause in these moments with you I just find myself
grasping for words slipped away
but the feeling is perfect in and of itself
each and every single day
so I`ll keep trying to paint pictures bathed in rhymes
of the magic in my veins
that you`ve awoken with your touch a thousand times
beauty is all that remains
I just hope you see what I`m feeling in my eyes
when I can`t catch breath to say
that I sink into yours and I am mesmerized

I`m just a girl standing upon a balcony
so high above the city
just a room with a view of lovers` alchemy
breaking through reality
sunsets and oceanic skylines take my breath
then you take me in your arms
