utterly neglected
lost in dreams and fantasies
of better galaxies

but no one whispered in my ear
to tell me it/'/d be years and years
of rollercoasters, blood and tears
before to me, my life would finally endear

//hold on
don/'/t disappear//

I have given up on love
I/'/ve chosen hands that shoved
convinced it couldn/'/t exist
tempers and lies persist

and no one stepped up to the plate
to pull me out of this stalemate
resuscitate this failing heart rate
with promises that all I need to do is wait

//and he will captivate//

I have uttered empty lies
and with them, my soul died
meaningless means to an end
ugly words they defend

so love has not been clear to me
not something that/'/s easy to see
but lately I think I might be
melting so softly into something I/'/ve not seen
so keep doing the things you do
with you beside me, I/'/ll pull through
your face, the most beautiful view
you need to know I/'/m falling into this with you

I have been disconnected
