shallow hearts
only love in fits and starts

everything I feel screams inside me
rips right through every single piece
I died before
smothered ‘til I couldn’t feel a thing
this is my encore
so turn the **** sound up and sing

hurting lovers
hurt each other
dig shallow graves
for collapsing airways

I’ve left all my tragedies behind me
now my life burns so hot it sears me
I died for years
living like a zombie breaks you down
love perseveres
I left behind that **** ghost town

angry lovers
kill each other
screaming melodies
are soothing remedies

hungry souls are feeding all around me
desperate to fill up every single piece
I’m wide awake
suddenly the truth is crystal clear
slithering snakes
sicken me with touches so severe

I’m not blind to your heavy, thick black clouds
churning, dripping black acidic shrouds
I see your void
you twist her but I won’t let her break
or be destroyed
you’ve got a hold but her soul you can’t take

gentle lovers
don’t **** hurt each other
awakened hearts

take their pain out on each other
