Me moving my /*****/,
Back and forth through your door.
Right now everything’s great.
Always is at the start.
But sooner or later,
Things fall apart.
You get so depressed,
Insecurities set in,
Your mind starts to play tricks
And its always the same.
You’ll stop taking showers,
Or changing your clothes,
You’ll work day and night,
And fall asleep in your coat.
Your self-esteem dives
And questions arise
You tell yourself things
That just are plain lies.
And who pays for that?
Me!!!
That’s who!!
With all your mean little insults
That stab me straight through.
With my stuff you destroy,
With all my work you undo
To make your house fit to live in
For me, delsin, and you.
So much effort I’ve wasted
So much money I’ve burned
So much love I’ve invested
To repeatedly get burned.
You take for granted each day
The things that I do
All the sacrifices I make,
All the compromises for you.
You expect me to give 100% of what’s mine.
All my effort
All my money
All my love
All my time
But when its your turn
You don’t tow the line
You’d rather gripe about /*****/
You could change any day.
And make excuses
And pass blame
For why you don’t try anyway
I cant do it anymore
My time has run out
I’ve tried everything I know
To turn things around
And nothing I do makes the least difference you see
So now maybe its time to focus on me
To build something stable
Gain some security in my life
And perhaps find some happiness
Free of chaos and strife.
