They would be of forever
The round world
The starry sky
The summer nights
The friendships

At some point the memories are nothing but sentiment

And bitterness seeps in
Clinging to the deep ravine

Forged by our own tears and broken hearts

Make believe... it both pained me and kept me breathing

Now it has dulled and been left behind

The hardest part, was letting go of that innocent part of myself

The journey of accepting my imperfect self

But, we get along so well...

If Nostalgia Had Dreams

They would be of forever
The round world
The starry sky
The summer nights
The friendships

At some point the memories are nothing but sentiment

And bitterness seeps in
Clinging to the deep ravine

Forged by our own tears and broken hearts

Make believe... it both pained me and kept me breathing

Now it has dulled and been left behind

The hardest part, was letting go of that innocent part of myself

The journey of accepting my imperfect self

But, we get along so well...

Oh, to be young again
