Colliding with full force
Staggering back, due course

Abruptly flipped up, then down,
Screaming, but making no sound
Hanging on, letting go.
Such extremes. They start to show.
Cause and effect is a hound-

Nipping repeatedly.
Giving chase to the taste
of blood spilling ... fulfilling
Desire for surrender
to knees which grow weary.

Each tooth that sinks into flesh
Smoking gun, bullet wound fresh-
There is diminished hope
and protruding wounds to cope

And yet I will rise again.
