I see your battle Asabrag,
As lightning flashes over there.
I know each time I see that flash,
The enemy lays down dead.

I give thanks to you Oh, mighty Thor.
For keeping Mithgard safe.
I give thanks to you for fighting Jötunn
And Loki’s serpent snake.

I give thanks to you, Mjölnir,
you are always strong and true.
You smash, you crush our enemies,
The ones who would run us threw.

I give thanks to you, the Two bravest of goats,
for pulling Oku-Thor to the fight.
And I must thank you again oh Splendid Horns,
for feeding Atli at night.

I thank you all, each and every one,|
for I can sleep safe now, I’m right.
And I thank you for future battles to come,
when I watch flashes in the sky at night.

GLOSSERY
The Old Norse worshipped many gods with Thor being one of the most popular Deities.
Thor belongs to the main pantheon of gods known as the Aesir.
Thor is in battle with Jötunn (translates to giant in English but they were not like what we imagine as a giant. In some saga’s they do appear as larger than The Aesir.)
The Jötunn try to attack Mithgard constantly and Thor protects us.
We live in Mithgard. (Middle Earth is a Rough Translation) Thor is our protector.
Thor has many names and some are mentioned here.
Asabrag – “Æsir-lord”
Atli – “the terrible”
Oku-Thor- "Cart Thor" or "Driving Thor"

Thors Hammer is named Mjölnir.
Mjölnir – “Crusher”
Lightning sparks from Mjölnir when Thor throws it.
Mjölnir can be shrunken through a chant to be worn around Thor’s next.

Thor travels in a Chariot that is pulled by two male goats.
Tanngrisnir (Old Norse "teeth-barer, snarler")
Tanngnjóstr (Old Norse "teeth grinder")
They have been called “Splendid Horns”
When Thor need to eat and there is no food available to satisfy his ravenous appetite, (He can eat a whole Ox at one meal)
Thor is able to slaughter his Goats and eat them, as long as their bones are not damaged. He can then use Mjölnir to cast a spell to resurrect his goats.
Loki’s serpent snake is “Jörmungandr also known as the “Mithgard Serpent.
He is the son of Loki and Jötunn Woman Angrboða. Odin took Loki/'/s three children by Angrboða—the wolf Fenrir, Hel, and Jörmungandr—and tossed Jörmungandr into the great ocean that encircles Midgard.[2] The serpent grew so large that it was able to surround the earth and grasp its own tail.
Thor will kill Jörmungandr” when Ragnarök comes but he will only take 9 steps before poison sprays from the dying Jörmungandr and KILLS Thor.
