2020 this is the year,
The year you blame for destruction and fear.
If you open your eyes you will see clear,
Warnings were out there but you plugged your ears.
You ignore the truths from around the world.
You ignore the science, “Give faith a burl”.
You ignore the screams as pain was unfurled.
You ignore the warnings as hatred was hurled.
Your content to lament disastrous events,
As you resent attempts to stop this descent!
And still you refuse to pay your own rent!
You won/'/t be happy till this world is spent!
The world/'/s falling apart around your ear/'/s,
But you ignore the terror, fear, tear/'/s.
As long as you have your footy and beer/'/s,
you/'/ll deny whats happening to your neighbours and peers.
Your empathy and care has been lost somewhere,
As you ignore those in pain, hunger, despair.
You sit in your tower, “Why should I care?”
As an asthmatic child struggles for air.
One thing I/'/ll say to you right now.
You think your protected from a living hell.
But the day is near for you to yell.
As you hear the dread toll of your death knell!
