You held up
a mirror
and showed me
a reflection
I believed I saw you
Was I fooled?
I thought (how silly)
I had caught a glimpse of you
but it was me
that you so artfully revealed
You hid yourself
behind my reflection
very deceivingly
leading me to believe
And when I turned away
(just for a second)
you were gone
and I was no longer there either
What an awful trick!
