sweet dreams

i want to empty my soul
out on the table before you
a feast
for you to delight in

i want to share it with you
keep it a secret between us
to savour
to ingest
digest
indigest

turn it over
in your mouth
taste every
salty bit
every sweet sensation
every bitter crumb

i want our bellies
to hurt together
as we reminisce
of the sweet pain
of fulfilled hunger
of an uncomfortably satisfying meal

and then
i want to stand beside you
as you revoke
every bite of your meal
you regret
every unsavoury piece
of a great dinner
a plate full of goodies
sweet, salty,bitter
mix in the sour with the rest
and taste it again

you hurt
because i've shown you
all of me
good and bad

but in the end
as you sleep off
the meal
i'll sneak away
and eat some more
live some more
die some more
so i can have more
to share with you
next time

sweet dreams my love!
