LIFE

Looking through the window
To the inside of my mind,
Trying to find the reason why
People are unkind.
But the answers are inside of me,
In places I can't reach,
And the lessons to be learned are things
That nobody can teach.

Flying through the warps of time
Way in outer space,
Zephyr breezes through my hair,
Stars upon my face.
Keeping out of touch with life,
Thinking for myself.
Plucking mistakes from my past
For storage on the shelf.

Walking through the golden door,
To the inside of my mind.
Not knowing if it's Heaven or Hell,
Not knowing what I'll find.
There's an answer there for everything,
But it's hidden way down deep,
Your dreams will let the secrets out,
And they're yours alone to keep.
