Remember when? Cokes were a nickel,
But you wouldn’t share, cause your friend was “fickle”.
Remember when? Sunday at the park.
The softball games, the happy dog’s bark.
Remember when? The evening walks,
The doors left open, there were no locks.
Remember when? I took your hand.
Claimed you for mine, more than just friends.
Remember when? Added Nichols to Pat.
There was seven at the wedding, including the cat.
Remember when? The days of our young,
Tho two years apart, Our love was still fun.
Remember when? The years slipped by?
And for some of those years, We Lived a lie.
Remember when? I again found you.
My one and only, our love renewed.
Remember when? The other night,
You asked what was wrong, “No, everything’s right.”
Remember when? In my answer, I grinned.
I was just sitting,…. “Rememberwhen”.
your husband
