i would like it for us to just sit on this bench in the middle of this busy town for some time
please sit here beside me and watch
watch the busy people on their mobile phones
look at the homeless
be greatful you have a home
i wonder would you shut your eyes as this strange world passes you by
do you stare at the person's make of trainers before you look in their face
can you honestly say you have sat down before and thought of this world as a beautiful place
now look at these cars driving by with children in the back
do you thank god everyday you have a family are you greatful for that
and when the skies fall dark
i'd like to take you walking in the park
and hope one day you might see how lucky we both are to be you and me
