Thoughts in my mind race,
As the skies turn to dark.
Seriousness takes over,
Little time for talk.
A full moon rises in the distance,
As my feelings are up close.
My emotions take over,
Using my body as a host.
The busyness of the day,
Allows my mind to shut down.
But when the sun sets in the hills,
Reality comes back around.
Wish I could turn it off,
Stop my emotions on the run.
Find relaxation in the feeling,
Of being comfortably numb.
