Head and Heart

Hello head, hello heart
together forever til death do part.
Side by side everyday
so very close, so far away.
Silence echoes heartfelt pounds
upon deaf ears vibrating sounds.
Inner peace known by some,
head and heart beat as one.
Confusion takes control of me
which won't let go and set me free.
What is right? What is wrong?
Feelings stir growing strong.
Watching close, searching deep
maybe someday our souls might meet.
My heart whispers, "I want you dear"
My head screams, "but we've no more tears."
Run, run mystical man
escape this madness while you can.
Don't glance back at the unknown
least you be turned to stone.
Run, run far away
our paths may cross again someday.
Forever together til death do part
inner confusion, head and heart.
