Your Poetry Dot Com - Someone To Call My Own

You're someone who's so wonderful,
That it makes me see,
That no matter what happens in life,
There for me you'll always be.
You're so caring of me,
Always asking how was my day,
Taking time to be with me,
I don't know what to say.
You were someone I have dreamed of,
For the longest of times,
Now that reality has set in,
I am afraid to be real sometimes.
For the thought that this is just a facade,
I was hurt badly once before,
I keep thinking that this too good to be true,
That it's going to fall apart I'm sure.
But I've realized,
That thinking this way,
Is the only way that I am going to push you away.
So I have discovered that I truly care for you,
You are someone I could get use to,
Everyday is an adventure with you,
The next question is where to?
Everyday,
Since the day we met,
Has been spent with each other,
There couldn't be another,
I am happy you have come into my life,
It no more feels like a strife,
Or a struggle,
No more is it hateful.
My prayers have been answered,
My luck has changed,
I am truly blessed,
From love I am no longer estranged.
Thankul for being here,
This could be the best thing, I agree,
Thank you for needing me in your life,
And walking through life with me.
We could be perfect together,
Or even meant to be,
But ever since you came into my life,
Content I shall always be.
