Sometimes I go a wondering
What lies in store for me?
I wish I could see the future
What I'll be when I'm 40?
Will I be married?
To a darling husband
With 2 kids maybe 3
Will I have a lovely family?
That will mean the world to me
Will I be a good and responsible mother?
Just like my mummy is to me

Sometimes I go a wondering
What lies in store for me?
I wish I could see the future
What I'll be when I'm 40?
Will I still be as bonded?
With my big brothers, daddy and mummy
Will they still love me as much as they do now?
Will we always be?
One big happy family

Sometimes I go a wondering
What lies in store for me?
I wish I could see the future
What I'll be when I'm 40?
Will I still be as close?
With my best friends I know at 13
Will we always remain on the frequency?
At a wink I'll know what she means
Will we still remember?
The private jokes we shared amongst ourselves
Will we still be a riot?
With our laughters and chatter
Everytime we chill out

Sometimes I go a wondering
What lies in store for me?
I wish I could see the future
What I'll be when i'm 40?
Will I be working?
In the company of my dreams
Will I have a successful career?
With me as the leading lady
Ideally,
Of a MNC?

Sometimes I go a wondering
What lies in store for me?
I wish I could see the future
What I'll be when i'm 40?
Will I be a better person?
As compared to when I am 20
Will I be caught up?
In the daily hassles of life
Forgetting all about charity
And doing my part for society

Deprived of gaze-into-future tool
Like a crystal ball maybe
All I can do
Is to go on wondering
Hoping at the same time
My future,
Bright and cheery it will be
Just like what I had pictured at the age of 20
