I know I should care,
but for some reason
all those things
I am supposed to feel
somehow aren't there.

It almost seems like
my heart is dead.
I have accepted that
I can't find love.
That love was made up
in my head.

Now when you are mean,
it just gets you no where.
Because I am numb
to you
and all you do.
Somehow I don't care.

It hurts to know
I've become like stone,
frozen to emotion,
cold as ice.
Now I am alone.

Even when you are there
my heart is empty
of all that is beautiful,
now that I've learned
I can only count on me.
