The ink will not dry.
My vision is blurred
With the flood in my eyes.

When one is rejected,
Even though it’s expected,
When it finally came true,
What else could I do, But cry?

Was it too good to be true?
The fantasy’s gone.
And you wonder how I
Could have been oh so wrong.

I have been a big fool.
Death now beckons to me.
It shall comfort my soul.
For now I want to be free.

I have lived with much pain.
Broken bones that won’t heal.
A heart that is weak,
And many ailments I feel.

But the pain that I can’t
Live with for long,
Is the one I feel now,
Knowing that you are gone!
