And he takes all my strength from me
One look, thats all it takes
I started off quite happy today
But now my insecurities awakes
I've always been a failure
Well, at least in my family's eyes
But I started getting stronger
Didn't let them hear my cries
I'm sorry I'm not perfect
I don't fit your family mould
A single mum, got no husband
And a bad mother I've been told
But what do you know?
You're not interested in what I'm going through
You don't phone or come round to see us
I'm really not worthy of you
I've tried opening up when you're listening
But I just get an Ummm or an Oh
But if I was one of the others
You'd be very interested to know
'Cause the others don't fail you like I do
Huh! C'mon Mum and Dad, let's get real
I'm not divorced or got loads of kids
And I don't let rip on how I feel
But one of these days I'm gonna do it
Tell you what failures you've been
And I'm telling you you're not gonna like it
It'll break you
But at least you'll be noticing me
Maybe?
