More often than not it isn't a person that pulls us through the hard times in life! [bodytext] => Watch as the harsh wind knocks down a leaf,
torn from it's family tree.
On the breeze it floats by me,
I imagine it going to the sea.
To fly away to a land where no one hurts,
and no forgotten memories lurk.
A place where we can take our time,
and see the inner warning sign.
Where nightmares that are all too true,
can not take hold of you.
A dream where no one is beaten and molested by a relative or other,
there is no blind father and mother,
no hands to hold the pillow while you smother.
No one to laugh as you suffer,
or look with resentment as you grow tougher.
Live half your life with these fealings locked inside,
then they fill you with anger and hurt pride.
Broke through the block,
that kept me solid as a rock.
Can't tell don't know how to talk,
so down this path alone I walk.
It's funny how many times I've thought about killing,
but ended up in a corner kicked back and chilling.
Move alongside the monster with silent stealth,
couldn't pull the trigger turned the gun on myself.
Then I felt fur brush my hand,
I looked down into eyes that seemed to care and understand.
In my room I hold my bestfriend,
not a man or woman but a godsend.
Then I realize I have much to live for,
more now than I did before.
Now I know why dog,
turned backwards spells god!
