The sleeping truth

Dreams crowd into my waking hours
bridal annoucements make their way to me
turning my superimposed smile sour
in one month and twenty five days
will be the day he threw away my flowers
and he poured out the truth in a druken haze
he didn't love me for any reason under any sun
sometimes while a sleep I lock him my tower
throwing away the broken key
but some how he is always set loose
to play uncensored with my memory
angels gather around to fight over my heart
while blue lobster grins singing" remember me"
he's not the marrying type grandmother shouts
stepping back into the gaint oak tree
he loves another whipers my apathic cat
" but when will I be free "
I scream at his wide black back
mother calls out patiently to just let it be
over and over as she dances with buddha
father tells me there is a hidden fee
as hands his cerebral cortex to St. Peter,
love drops my affection in a collection box for tea
mumbling someone else will enoy it more than me
retching from my new found misery
I bolt awake to discover the meaning of alone.
