Reasons For Keeping a Diary...

I've kept a diary for most of my life,
My great gran started it,
As an unhappy wife.
A diary's a space of your extended mind,
Where you can put memories
You'll always find.
Great for storing people, their exact words,
Moments you've shared
That've been strange, obsured.
When you tell a diary about someone you hate,
It won't say "your so harsh!"
And that's truly great...
And finally, in old age you'll wonder,
Where did it all go?
Then you'll turn through the pages of diaries,
And with smiles and tears, you'll know.
