Prologue
Sometimes people come into your life
And you know right away that they were meant to be there
To serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson,
Or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to be.

A friend is someone we turn to,
When our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure,
For friendship is a gift.

A friend is someone you who fills our lives
With beauty, joy, and grace,
And makes the world we live in,
A better and happier place.

There’s nothing as nice as someone who shares,
Your laughter, your secrets, your wishes, and cares,
Someone who is there through good times and tears,
Who stays by your side as a friend through the years.

Circumstances have pulled us apart,
We are separated by many, many miles.
Truly, the only thing that keeps me going,
Is my treasured memory of your smile.

You never, ever judge me
You understand my sorrow.
Then you told me it needn’t be that way,
And gave me hope of a better tomorrow.

You were always there for me,
I knew I could count on you.
You gave me advice and encouragement,
Whenever I didn’t know what to do.

You helped me learn to love myself,
You made life seem so good.
You said I could do anything I put my mind to,
And suddenly I knew I could.

Our friendship is one-in-a-million,
So lets hold onto it and each other.
We cannot let this chance of pure bliss fly away,
For there will never be another.
