With No Hope

I'm fake; I lie
And you wonder why
I can't believe you
Anything that you say
For all I know
You're just the same
Trying to bring me up
From my misery
By using deceit

All your compliments
Mean nothing to me
They don't change
What I think
I know the truth of things
That everything you say
Is only a lie to tell me
To make me think
That you care about me
Even with this negativity
That never leaves me

I know what you feel inside
For me only guilt resides
In your heart that's being torn apart
Trying to help me through life
When you're pushing me away
You've been doing it from the start
Since you've been telling me lies
That's the way you help me through life
By telling me lies to believe constantly
And that will never help me

You don't care about my life
You prove it with all your lies
Wanting to help yourself
From feeling what you don't want
Helping someone vulnerable
That can't cope
By giving them false hope

I won't make it
That I know
With no hope
I let go
