If You Were To Leave Me

If you were to leave me
I’d have no more to give
My life would go on
But I couldn’t live
If you were to leave me
My heart would cry
No more happiness
Or hope in my eyes
If you were to leave me
I’d be numb from the pain
My only dream gone
Only emptiness would remain
If you were to leave me
My love would leave too
Never to be given to another
Left to perish without you
If you were to leave me
My life would be empty
Left here in shambles
No chance to save me
If you were to leave me
There’d be no reason to push on
Living my days in darkness
My only inspiration gone
If you were to leave me
I’d be forever alone
Hiding myself away
With memories of love I’d known
If you were to leave me
My future would be dark
No more light in my life
Not so much as a spark
If you were to leave me
My heart would grow cold
Never again from my lips
Will the words, I love you, be told
But if you were to leave me
I’d wish you happiness and love
And I’d tell you before you left
You are all I’ll ever dream of
