I sit alone behind my dark mask
I try to make people smile and laugh
They always ask where i get my strength
I laugh and say from satan's ring

Some say yea right and move on to play
Ignoring the words i have to say
I sit and watch them laugh so hard
While i cry my tears of a broken heart

Friends they usually will always be nice
But when problems arise they scatter like mice
If your life is good and your doing alright
They'll stand right there, right by your side

How many times have you felt this pain
And knew exactly who was to blame
Does the mask you wear fall off at times
In hopes they'll see just one small line

Have you ever felt like nobody cares
And sat numb and alone just to stare
Have you hurt yourself inside and out
To escape the pain of your suicidal route

When you sit that numb all cut and bruised
Where are your friends your starting to lose
You try to see if they hear you somehow
But they turn their backs and leave you now

Be wise with your words you speak to your friends
If they live or die, it just all depends
Life is to short to say hurtful words
Instead say i love you and let go the hurt

Let the sun not go down on angry words said
You'd be real sorry if they end up dead
Take the time to make up and say the right things
Or you'll end up like me with no friends..
