With this “softer” Republican schtick?
Perhaps they mean soft in the head
Well at least THAT reputation would stick!

Looking for the floating voter
Fishing with a rod and line
The Republicans are desperate
To give them a dishonest sign

“Hey look, you can really TRUST us!
We are not so VERY bad…
We want to sell you a lie
Does that make us truly sad…?”

Well no, at least you are CONSISTENT
You are lying bastards all
So some WILL be persuaded
And into lying hands will fall

But most will hear your words
And see right through this trick
The “touchy-feely Republicans”
They'll laugh until they're sick

See the two-faced smiling men
See their wide open welcoming arms
“Come, let us fool you
Let us win you with our charms!”

And after the election is over?
What then for these warm old frauds?
Then? Well then you can forget it
To lying cynics’ loud appluse

You think they're fooling anyone
With this “softer” Republican schtick?
Perhaps they mean soft in the head

To give them a dishonest sign
