Your Poetry Dot Com - the 2nd time

my imagination goes insane with thoughts of us
your skin touching mine and the taste of you
sweeter than any candy i've ever had

sometimes i wonder if it's a dream we're this close
distance gone, nose to nose
feeling your lips upon mine and my heart races

my biggest fear is losing you
waking up and realizing it was just a dream
or worse, that you don't even exist

to me you are the reason love is beautiful
but also why my heart continuously aches
the miles, the distance....HER!

i don't know what i'd do if i lost you
at times i feel it's better to live in the moment
to have you while i have you near
and not worry about the goodbye

but what if having you again is where i fail?
what if i have to let go and i can't?

i wanna be your smile, your hug
your everything you need when it's not there
and i tell myself if letting you go makes you happy
then i'll forget your candy skin and sweet kisses

but part of me won't believe i can't be that
and i'd give you the world
if you truly desire it
i'll take it slowly and a second at a time
i only want to capture you again
and make it twice as beautiful as before.
