Between the Suns

Topic: Sad Poetry

The golden light mocked me
Shone on yellow-leaved splendor
I could not bear the first sunset without your voice

I woke to your stirring this morning
You were behind every corner, in the face of every stranger
Waiting at home

Now closing my eyes, Goodnight
I can't let go your hand
In this nightmare, sunrise is too far away
